The International Police Association (IPA) is dedicated to promoting friendship and cultural exchange among law enforcement officers and law enforcement professionals worldwide. With membership comes the opportunity to meet police officers, instructors, and specialists, support staff, and other law enforcement professionals from other member countries and the United States regardless of rank, sex, race, or religion.

The IPA connects you with others who understand your job in law enforcement. Others who have gone though many experiences on the job that you have; who share your interests. Membership also provides an opportunity to experience other cultures, and learn from each other. Guides you as you travel to their country or city. Hobby interests, such as collecting police insignia, stamps, license plates, Ham radio, RV travel, and internet pen-pal contacts with members. International training courses for law enforcement officers who are members of the IPA.

The IPA consists of over 60 countries on 5 continents. Each country is called a “Section”. Each section is divided into Regions. The IPA Nevada is Region 38 in the U.S. Section. Each region can hold a monthly, quarterly, semi annual, or annual meeting. It's up to each region to decide how it wants to operate. The region operates according to what their local board and membership desires from their region. However, all regions must still follow the by-laws of the U.S. Section National Executive Council (NEC).Membership is open to all law enforcement officers employed with, or retired from, a law enforcement agency. If you have questions about membership, you can email sg@ipa-usa.org. If you qualify, we invite you to join us!!
